Meet your private driver at 7:30 AM at the exit of your ship. Your driver will have a sign with your name on it. You will not need the shuttle bus, our drivers and our cars are authorized to access the reserved area of the port of Civitavecchia. After about an hour and a half (9:00 AM) you will arrive in Rome where you will meet your guide to start your private tour.
In the first four hours you will visit the most important historical and artistic areas of the “Eternal City” including the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Venice square, Circus Maximus, Aventine Hill, Capitol Hill and the Colosseum before stopping for lunch. Lunch break will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
If it is not your first visit to Rome you can customize your tour by requesting your own itinerary. You can contact our office and ask for all the information you need. You could also ask your guide directly, on the day of the tour, to personalize your visit always considering the duration of your tour.
Usually the private visit to the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica takes place after lunch (2:00 PM). At the end of the Vatican tour, approximately around 4:30 PM, your driver will take you back to the port of Civitavecchia. The estimated time of arrival at your ship is around 5:30 PM.
If you do not wish to enter the Colosseum or the Vatican Museums and concentrate the tour on Rome and its hidden beauties, you can ask our office not to purchase your Colosseum and Vatican tickets.
We purchase your skip-the-line tickets for the Colosseum, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and Pantheon in advance. The cost of tickets is not included in the tour price. Your tour guide will have your tickets. You will pay the tickets only cash directly to your tour guide at the end of the tour.
The cost of the Colosseum skip-the-line tickets is Eur 37.00 per person.
The cost of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel skip-the-line tickets is Eur 50.00 per person.
The cost of the Pantheon skip-the-line tickets is Eur 7.00 per person.
